Key Goals & Objectives Increase the Annual fund, both by increasing overall dollars and percentage of alumni who contribute. Contributions help provide financial aid to students who would not otherwise be able to continue their LFC education Enhance our standing in college surveys, e.g. U.S. News & World Report Survey
’08-’09 Accomplishments Increased Full Board Member giving to 100% Answered practice calls from students making Alumni Fund requests. Placed calls to past donors of $500 or more
Alumni Board Giving Full and Associate Members raised $30,826 100% participation for full Board members 52% participation for Associate members ’
2008-’09 Results $1,986,000 raised for the Annual Fund More than any other year before Goal, $2.1 million 30% overall participation Includes Annual Fund and Restricted Gifts Achieved 5-year-plan goal one year in advance
’09-’10 Committee Goals Increase awareness of the importance of any size gift to the Annual Fund Increase Associate Board Member giving to 100%. Increase entire LFC community of Admissions volunteer giving to 45% from 35%.
Does MY Contribution make a difference?
·YES – Tuition doesn’t cover the cost of a Lake Forest College Education
$2,500 provides an annual scholarship for a student
$1,500 provides a faculty stipend to teach a first-year studies course
$1,250 pays to host a lecture by a top-rated Chicago academic
$850 supplies one gel box and power supply for the Biochemistry lab
$50 pays for one hockey mask or football helmet
$35 pays for posters to publicize an all-campus study-break party
Alumni Board Contributions
Full Board Members suggested contribution $750 annually. 100% participation
NEW: Associate Board member
Fiscal year 2009 = 52% participation Fiscal year 2009 average gift $169

$20 per month, or $250 annually
