  1. 1. Food Recipes <ul><li>Made by classes 6a and 6b in Rovastinkangas school </li></ul><ul><li>Together with 1st graders in Rovastinkangas school and Karppi pre-school </li></ul>
  2. 2. Carrot soup You need: 3-4 carrots 8 dl water 1 cube of vegetable broth 100 g melted cheese (Herball Salt) Carrot Soup (for 4) 1/2 dl small bits of parsley Peel and chop the carrots. Boil the water and the carrots and the vegetable cube. Let it boil for 15 minutes. Mix and mash the carrots. And melted or ground cheese on top. Warm up again until the cheese melts. Finally and the parsley.

Macaroni casserole <ul><li>5-6 dl macaroni </li></ul><ul><li>1big onion </li></ul><ul><li>7 dl milk </li></ul><ul><li>400 g minced meat </li></ul><ul><li>3 egg </li></ul><ul><li>1-2 tea spoon salt </li></ul><ul><li>1 tea spoon curry </li></ul><ul><li>1/5 tea spoon white pepper </li></ul><ul><li>1 tea spoon red pepper powder </li></ul><ul><li>Boil the macaroni. But is not necessary. Fry the minced meat and onion. Add spices when minced meat is fried. Add macaroni and minced meat in layers into an oven bowl. Mix the eggs and milk and pour in the bowl. Put in the oven for about 1 hour. If macaroni is not boiled beforehand,stir the food after 20 minutes. </li></ul><ul><li>If you don't want minced meat you can put there; chiken,fish or vegetables. </li></ul><ul><li>This delicious food is one of the best foods in FInland! </li></ul><ul><li>We hope you like this food; </li></ul><ul><li>Enjoy! </li></ul>

Sugar Buns <ul><li>2½dl milk </li></ul><ul><li>25g </li></ul><ul><li>1 tsp salt </li></ul><ul><li>1dl sugar </li></ul><ul><li>1 tsp vanilla sugar </li></ul><ul><li>2 tsp cardomom </li></ul><ul><li>1 egg </li></ul><ul><li>½kg wheat flouf </li></ul><ul><li>100g soft butter or margarine </li></ul><ul><li>Cook! </li></ul>

Strawberry Soup <ul><li>5 dl delicious juice </li></ul><ul><li>2 ½ spoonful of potato flour </li></ul><ul><li>2 ½ dl berries </li></ul><ul><li>Sugar </li></ul><ul><li>On top: sugar </li></ul><ul><li>1. Mix the juice and potatoflour in a pan. </li></ul><ul><li>2. Warm the mixture up, all the time stirring the mixture, until it gets thicker and the first bubbles can be seen. Take the pan away from the stove. </li></ul><ul><li>3. Add the strawberries, chop up big ones, add whole raspberries. Add sugar. </li></ul><ul><li>4. Put the food on low plates and add sugar on top. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Cream of wheat porridge <ul><li>1 L of milk </li></ul><ul><li>1½ dl of farina or darkfarina </li></ul><ul><li>3/4 tl of salt </li></ul><ul><li>Bring to a bofl the milk. Whip the farinas to the crowd. Mix the porridge until it´s thick. Boil slowly under the cover about 10 minutes. Mix sometimes the base of the kettle with a wooden fork. Add salt in the end. </li></ul>

Sausage soup <ul><li>2 carrots </li></ul><ul><li>one piece of turnip </li></ul><ul><li>one piece of celery </li></ul><ul><li>one piece of leek or onion </li></ul><ul><li>about 1l water </li></ul><ul><li>½-1tl salt </li></ul><ul><li>4-6 potatoes </li></ul><ul><li>400g sausages </li></ul><ul><li>parsley </li></ul><ul><li>Wash and peel vegetables. Cut the carrots, turnip and celery into cubes (and chop the onion). Add vegetables boil water. Boil halfdone about 15 minutes. Add the peeled and cut potatoes and leek in slices. Let it boil slowly beneath a lib until all vegetables are done, about 20 minutes. Add the cut sausages and let the pieces warm up in the dish. Add if needed liquids and check the taste. Strew parsley on top. </li></ul>

Mead <ul><li>4l water </li></ul><ul><li>3dl sugar </li></ul><ul><li>3dl brown sugar </li></ul><ul><li>2 lemon </li></ul><ul><li>½ts yeast </li></ul><ul><li>Into bottles </li></ul><ul><li>raisin </li></ul><ul><li>sugar </li></ul><ul><li>Let the mead ferment 24 hours. </li></ul><ul><li>Strain and put into bottles. </li></ul><ul><li>Put a few raisins into each bottle and add tsp. of sugar. </li></ul><ul><li>Close the bottles and keep them cold. </li></ul><ul><li>Mead is a ready drink after about 3-5 days. </li></ul><ul><li>Enjoy !! </li></ul>
