IPC’s Recent Accomplishments        Successfully created the first Endowed IPC Scholarship in 2011 by raising $323,526 Reached the IPC Annual Fund Community Challenge goal in 2013 by achieving a new record of 898 black alumni donors Organize an annual matriculation calling campaign beginning in 2008 that connects alumni to accepted black students to encourage them to choose Brown Hosted several well-attended events including Black Alumni Reunions in2010 and 2013, U.S. Presidential Inaugural Celebrations in 2009 and 2013, and Unity Funk Nights Launched the IPC student-alumni mentoring program in 2012 which matched approximately 50 students with alumni mentors Maintain alumni engagement with several hundred members through active social media presences on IPC Facebook and LinkedIn group pages Sponsored student-hosted events on campus including the Black Men's Appreciation Dinner and Black Women's Appreciation Dinner 2

IPC’s Mission      Strengthen Brown University by directly addressing the needs and concerns of its Black alumni Establish a productive interaction among Black alumni, students, faculty, and staff Channel energies toward broadening opportunities for members of the Black community in and around Brown University Maximize Black alumni participation in the life of the University. Collaborate with organizations that further the interests of Brown University, including, but not limited to, the Brown Alumni Association (BAA) 3
