It was Dec. 2005. I was a candidate for Digital QA Specialist at Rapp Collins. For my first in-person interview, I was told to answer "How would you make our site better?” I looked at RappCollins.com and wrote 5 bullet points on the back of a napkin. When I read them to the VP during our interview, he grabbed the napkin from my hand and walked out of the room. Afterward, I didn’t have to crank out this .PDF, but I’m glad I did. It helped me get my job at Cars.com. Now that it’s 2014, I wonder if the principles still apply… what say you?
