Despite being poor orrich, Myanmar people consider paying tributeto the pagodas and plating stupas andBuddha statue with real golden leaves a verynatural deed. Being celebrated its 2,600 yearsold (according to Buddhism’s records) in May2012, Shwedaggon has been being the mostimportant center of meditation that attractspilgrims from all around the world. A visit at thepagoda will take us not less than 2 or 3 hoursfor its magnificence and significance. After thevisit, we will go on to Bogoyke market, alsocalled Scott market, the biggest market ofMyanmar where exciting daily life of Yangoncan tell us a lot about the living here as well asoffering us great chance for watching differentjewelries made of jade and emerald (one ofthe prides of Myanmar) and lovely handicraft.Have lunch at local restaurant before transferto the airport for flight to Bagan. Our horse cart andtourguide will pick-up us on time to depart to the OldBagan where most beautiful testimonies of the splendorsand the richness of this site conceal. After enjoying thedawn from behind stupas, we will discover more a lot fromthousands of temples, shrines, stupas at Bagan, to namea few, Ananda temple - one of the finest one inarchitecture and most revered temples with its fourstanding Bagan style Buddha images and huge carvedteak doors, Ananda Oakkyaung - simply a Monastery builtwith red bricks, located within the precincts of the AnandaTemple. It was built in 1137 AD and paintings of the 18thcentury are seen in the walls of the monastery,Thatbyinnyu Temple - 201ft tall, the tallest in Bagan and itis shaped like a cross, but is not symmetrical. The templehas two primary storeys, with the seated Buddha imagelocated on the second storey; or Dhammayangyi Temple- the widest temple in Bagan, and is built in a plan similarto that of Ananda Temple. In the afternoon visit Htilominlopagoda, famed for its original fine plaster carvings andglazed sandstone decoration which are remarkably well-preserved. The temple stands 46m high and houses fourBuddha statues on the lower and upper floors;Mingalazedi pagoda, which is one of the few temples inBagan with a full set of glazed terra cotta tiles or theDhammayangyi pagoda, Bagan’s largest temple, wherethe brickwork is perhaps the finest that can be foundaround Bagan. The guide of Threeland atHeho will pick up and transfer you to Kalaw, a hill stationset up by the British centuries ago, with stops to visit onthe way. With pleasant mountain weather, sufficientvegetables, colourful flowers, many ethnic group withexclusive cultural traditions, Kalaw is one of the bestattractions for trekking and long stay. Check in your hoteland have lunch before visit the town in the afternoon,including the temples and monasteris in Kalaw,DAY 4: BAGAN - (flight) - HEHO -KALAW (B/L/-)DAY 6: HTI TAIN MONASTERY - TREKKING - BOAT TRIP - INLE LAKE(B/L/-)DAY 5: KALAW - TREKKING - HTI TAIN MONASTERY (B/L/D)After breakfast at hotel we will start our trekking for the whole day, there are many different paths passingthe villages of Pa-O and other ethnic groups in this area and all the roads are extremely green withvegetation gardens, paddy terraced fields, poetic landscape with high hills, thousand-year-old giant treesand wild flowers. The hills, though quite high, are not too challenging unless the rain season arrives. We canhave both exercises by trekking, and at the same time witness the industrious life of hill tribal groups andchat with them to learn more about their culture. Reach a graceful monastery in the forest at Hti Tain fordinner and rest. O/N Hti Tain.Kalaw market, church, and prepare ourselves for the trekking days ahead. O/N Kalaw.Please note! In rainy season the program may change in accordance with the humidity and conditions oftrekking routes.After breakfast at the monastery, we will trek for another half-day trekking until arrival at Indain, a Boat Pierat Inle Lake. The route will be more challenging with more up and down parts but not too hard. After lunchat the pier, we will be transferred by boat to our Resort located on the Lake. The road on the lake is extremelypicturesque with houses on stilts on the lake, water vegetation, water birds, bamboo and wood bridgeslinking two rows of houses, and many fishermen with their multiple ways of fishing. We will visit somehandicraft shops and workshops, where you can both witness the way the locals make bamboo, silk, fiber,lotus, blacksmith products and buy some gifts for our families and friends. If you are keen on visitingreligious construction of Myanmar by now, stop at Phaung Daw Oo Paya, a pagoda with four famousBuddha statues covered by golden leaves from the Buddhists. Flight back toYangon, our guide will see us at the airport to take us to Sule pagoda, the one said to be there for more than twothousand years old, with great Buddha image and destination of many pilgrims as well as people who look for anisolated place for meditation. Home to many important history events, Sule pagoda serves not as a religiousconstruction but historic site either. Lunch at restaurant in Yangon. Afternoon is for your free visit with the help of thetourguide and vehicle (admission at own account) until the dusk. After breakfast wecan relax for a bit until taking our boat tovisit the lake with stopovers at thegardens and local workshops and stopfor watching and taking photos of leg-rowing fishermen, an extraordinarytradition only existing at the Lake. Withthe tourguide, we will visit floatinggardens on the lake where people usewater weed as a good, local fertilizersand make very tasty vegetables,especially tomato, cucumber, cowpeaand melons. If we are lucky, we can visita market that held every 5-day at themonastery and see how people starttheir early trading with plenty ofconsumer goods, from fresh fish andchicken, duck, to different kinds ofvegetable planted on the lake andglamorous flowers. Visit the famousmonastery Nga Hpe Chaung, oftenknown as the Jumping Cat monastery,which is very famous for their woodenstructure, before returning to our hotel.O/N Inle Lake.DAY 7: INLE LAKE -VISIT BY BOAT - INLE
