  6. 6. 6Based on the simple but clever idea of a frame with insertblocks and an end seal, the MCT Brattberg is the originaltransit system.The MCT Brattberg was patented in the early 1950s.When oil rigs and nuclear power stations demanded cableand pipe installations with proven safety records, the MCTBrattberg system became a worldwide solution. And we´vebeen improving it ever since. Comprehensive documenta-tion shows that its resistance to fire, water, gas and pres-sure meets the latest safety requirements.The industry standardOur own experience has shown that for a standard frameused for maritime applications, an internal width of 120.5mm +0.5 mm, a depth of 60 mm and wall thickness of 10mm are optimal window sizes for maintaining structuralstrength and for fitting insert blocks.The welded cornersare rounded for added strength.   7. 7. 7Special products forspecial usesMCT Brattberg manufactures a number of special pro-ducts. High pressure secure cable transits, transits for waveguides and blocks with built-in protection against electro-magnetic pulse due to lightning or nuclear blast.High pressure seals and blocks for wave guidesare two examples of our special products. Several types ofhigh pressure seals are available. Often these have beendesigned in collaboration with a customer.They are used,for example, in the supporting legs of oil rigs or in subma-rines. An example is the RGPH seal, which has been testedup to 100 bar.Blocks for oval wave guides are also manufactured toorder.These fit all Brattberg frames and are used mainly inradar stations.The E-series framesand components provide the same protection as the stan-dard MCT Brattberg system but with added, built-in pro-tection against electromagnetic pulses caused by lightningor nuclear blast.They also give protection against interference, elec-tronic sabotage (synthetic EMP) and static electricity.All dimensions are exactly the same as for the otherMCT Brattberg components.For special products please consult MCT Brattberg.Products to protect against EMC.PHP pressure hull penetrator for submarines.
