  • 2. Rutgers University was founded in 1766 as the Queen’s College. It is one of the largest colleges of higher education in New Jersey, and the 8th oldest institution in the United States. The institution is known for offering over 100 distinct Bachelor, 100 Master, and 80 Doctoral and Professional Degree programs in 175 academic departments, 29 degree granting schools and colleges.
  • 3. It was founded with an aim to deliver quality education that not only meets the highest standards of excellence, but also to prepare students to become good citizens and productive members of the society. Located in New Jersey, Rutgers University is committed to conducting extensive research that promotes social, cultural, medical and environmental well being of the State.
  • 4. The Department of The Educational Theory, Policy and Administration at the University, offers the Doctor of Education degree (Ed.D.) in Educational Administration and Supervision.
  • 5. Rutgers University offers this program with an aim to ensure that all the graduates acquire a core of theoretical knowledge and research skills germane to all administrative and program development positions and also has a wide scope for pursuing individual professional specialties.   • 6. Dr. Thomas McMahon Superintendent pursued his studies at some the premier educational institutions including Monmouth University and Jersey City State College, Jersey City, New Jersey.
  • 7. In addition to this, he also attended the Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey to pursue his Educational Doctorate. Thomas was a brilliant student who was awarded a Garden State fellowship which is given annually to the top 30 graduate students in New Jersey. Dr. Thomas McMahon Superintendent has gained huge success on the professional front, owing to his hard work and dedication.
  • 8. He is an extensively experienced professional, and a certified Principal, Director, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and School Business Administrator. Furthermore, he has also been honored with the Sallie Mae National Teacher Award, an honor given to the top 100 first year teachers in the Country.
  • 9. Apart from this, Dr. Thomas McMahon Superintendent developed an Education Foundation with an aim to raise money. He also created a Business Partnership Program that helped raise over 850, 000 dollars.
