Information Regarding “Notes” (1) Adoption of Unique Accounting Methods Applied Only to Quarterly Consolidated Financial Statements (i) Calculation of Tax Income taxes of certain consolidated subsidiaries of the Company are calculated by applying a reasonably estimated effective tax rate for the full fiscal year to income before income taxes for the nine months ended December 31, 2013. The effective tax rate is determined by estimating the effective tax rate for the full fiscal year, which includes the nine months ended December 31, 2013, after taking into account the effect of deferred tax accounting. -2-
