  • 2. Where Pakistan is located
    Pakistan is in the continent of Asia.
    There are four provinces in Pakistan. there names are Punjab, Sind, Baluchistan, and NWFP.
    Pakistan means “Land of Pure.”
    Pakistan's capital city is Islamabad.
  • 3. TOURISM
    Ahh! Have a sunny day on the beach in Pakistan and enjoy the Beautiful scenery.
    Or if you like to trek or climb, there are snow covered peaks and amazing valleys and glaciers.
    Colorful festivals like kite flying and dancing festivals are full of life and fun.
  • 4. Mountains
    K2 the world’s second highest mountain and most of the top ten are all in Pakistan as well as the world’s largest glacier outside the polar region.
  • 5. Fountains
    The words second highest fountain is in Pakistan located in the city of Karachi.
  • 6. CLIMATE
    Pakistan's climate is dry and hot in the south near the coast, becoming progressively cooler towards the north-eastern uplands. The winter season is generally cold and dry.
  • 7. TIME LINE
    14 August 1947- Pakistan was found by Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
    1960- Pakistan won Olympic hockey gold first time.
    1965- India Pakistan war over Kashmir.
    1971- East Pakistan became Bangladesh.
    1992- Pakistan won cricket world cup.
    1998- Became Nuclear power.
  • 8. Traditional clothes
    Shalwar Kameez is the traditional and national dress of Pakistan. Its a long shirt with baggy trouser.
  • 9. Traditional Food
    Some of the popular Traditional foods are
    Biryani
    Tikka
    Haleem
    Nihari
    Sheer Khorma
  • 10. National flower
    Pakistan's National flower is Jasmine - a small white flower grown in bunches and very fragrant.
  • 11. Animals
    The national animal of Pakistan is Ibex. Ibex is a wild goat with long curved horns.
    There are lots of other animals like:
    rare blind dolphins that are found only in Indus river
    amazing snow leopards, and
    the royal king Cobra
  • 12. National Sport
    The national sport is Hockey. Pakistan has won all major world titles several times including World Cup and Olympics gold.
  • 13. Government
    Pakistan is a democracy.
    Citizens of the country vote for the parliament and who will get to be the president or Prime Minister.
    The current president is Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister is Yusuf Raza Gilani.
  • 14. Economy
    The currency is called Rupee
    Major Industries are: Textile, Petrochemical and manufacturing
    Major crops are: Cotton, Wheat, and Rice
