  1. Children in Poverty
    • If you are seeing this, chances are you were not born into poverty.
    • Good for you.
    • But every second child born on this earth is not so lucky
    • Nearly half (one billion) of the world’s children are born into poverty
    • Poverty is the most devastating thing that can happen to childhood
    • Imagine having to struggle for every meal
    • Imagine being denied basic education
    • Imagine being driven to the streets to fend for yourself
    • Imagine having to work to feed yourself
    • Imagine being driven to drugs and crime for the sake of money and a sense of happiness
    • Imagine being abused physically, mentally, spiritually
    • Imagine having no childhood
    • And as a result, imagine having no chance at a decent adulthood
    • Take a moment and Imagine being born into poverty
    • Poverty steals childhood and a child’s basic rights
    • Poverty kills the mind, spirit and soul of a child even before they are actually alive
    • Poverty is not a choice
    • We just got lucky. Incredibly lucky.
