“Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Primary Suicide Risk Factor For Veterans.” Gale Virtual Reference Library. Gale, 26 Aug. 2009. Web. 22 Apr. 2010. <http://www.sciencedaily.com//‌/‌/‌090825151341.htm>. This article talks about how veterans suffer from thoughts of suicide when they return home from war. It talks about the multiple reasons for them feeling this way. It also gives the percentage of veterans who have thoughts of suicide and the percentage of those who actually attempt.
“Soldier, After Bipolar Treatment and Suicide Attempts, Sent Back to War Zone.” Gale Virtual Reference Library. Gale, 11 Feb. 2008. Web. 22 Apr. 2010. <http://www.editorandpublisher.com///_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003709239>. This article also tells about the effects of soldiers when they return home from war and the feelings of depression that run through their minds. It even gives an example of a soldier who had this problem. It tells of accounts that would make someone have these thoughts.
“Struggle Of Soldier Suicides.” Gale Virtual Reference Library. gale, 6 Aug. 2008. Web. 22 Apr. 2010. <http://www.cbsnews.com///‌?id=3498262n&tag=related;photovideo>. This is the first of my video resources. It has interviews with the families of veterans who have committed suicide. It also has some possible ideas of why they did it and what could help others who face the same problem.
“Treatment helps soldier out of trouble.” Gale Virtual Reference Library. Gale, 9 Feb. 2008. Web. 22 Apr. 2010. <http://helenair.com//and-regional/‌article_e1e89c18-0e75-56b7-816e-e44f19334f3e.html>. This is the story of a veteran who was arrested because of his acts when he returned home from the war in Iraq. It tells of his experience with thoughts of suicide and war. It also gives examples of what he went through in war which helps me understand why he might have had these thoughts.
“Vets’ Suicide Epidemic.” Gale Virtual Reference Library. Gale, 6 Aug. 2008. Web. 22 Apr. 2010. <http://www.cbsnews.com///‌?id=3498534n&tag=related;photovideo>. This is the second video resource I have. It is another video that talks about actual veterans experiences with war.
