Program Highlights The Unquiet Library incorporated the use of presearching graphic organizers as a way of faciliating student research and as a tool for formative asssessment for collaborative research projects with Ms. Frost, Ms. Biello, and Ms. Lester. Ms. McManus’s French I students learned how to create Animoto videos and Wikispaces pages as part of the research project on a travel destination in Paris. Students also about Creative Commons licensed images/media, collaborative presentations in Google Docs, and Google Maps. Media 21 students learned how to create and share webmixes in Symbaloo as a way of creating information dashboards to anchor their Veterans’ Issues research (see http://goo.gl/u6Mrf ) Ms. Jackson’s 9th graders learned how to share their Works Cited pages in NoodleBib electronically with Ms. Jackson through the NoodleBib Assignment dropbox. Ms. Lester’s 10th grade students created collaborative projects in NoodleBib and learned how to submit Works Cited entries and electronic notecards virtually through the NoodleBib Assignment dropbox. The Unquiet Library was featured in the March 2011 edition of School Library Journal in the feature article, “The Kindles Are Coming…Librarians Are Leading the Way” at http://goo.gl/qQCGh . The library received new custom signage for the reference/nonfiction area of the library from a Creekview High School senior. A comprehensive update on the Kindle program is now available at http://goo.gl/P9zYZ . The library received shipments for approximately 100 new books. Ms. Hamilton was named one of the fifty 2011 Library Journal Movers and Shakers http://goo.gl/pkFE9 .2
