‘ I AM THE LORD YOUR SHEPHERD’ Psalm 23

‘ I give my life for the sheep for I know my sheep and they know me’ (John 10:11-14)…

… I will ‘provide all your needs according to my riches in glory through Christ’ (Philippians 4:19) you shall lack for nothing.

‘ I am he that makes you to lie down in green pastures’ (Psalm 23:2)…

… ‘ There is a rest for you, hasten to enter into my rest and cease from your own works even as I did from mine’ (Hebrews 4:9-10)

I will lead you beside still waters…

… ‘ I am your Peace: (Judges 6:24). I am your Shalom, (your wholeness, completeness, health and peace)

… I will ‘keep you in perfect peace as you keep your mind centred on me’ (Isaiah 26:3)

… my desire and purpose is to restore peace and wholeness to all my creation for I am the ‘God of Peace’ (Hebrews 13:20),

‘ I am ‘the author and Perfecter of your faith’ (Hebrews 12:2) so ‘fear not only believe’ (Mark 5:36)

‘ I am he who restores your soul’

… ‘ I am ‘the Lord who Heals you’ (Exodus 15:26)…

…‘ I am the the Great Physician and the ultimate source of all healing- spiritual, physical, emotional and mental…

… ‘ I am the ‘God of Compassion’ (Deuteronomy 4:31) the Father of Mercies: (2 Corinthians 1:3) my very nature is kindness and ‘Love’ (1 John 4:16)

‘ I am he that leads you in paths of righteousness for my own names sake’

… ‘ I am ‘the Lord your righteousness.’ (Isaiah 64:6)…

… ‘ I was made to be sin with your sin so that you might become the righteousness of God in me. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

… ‘ your own righteousness is as filthy rags in my sight; (Jeremiah 23:6)

… ‘ I will uphold you by the right hand of mine own righteousness’ (Isaiah 41:10)

‘ Yes even should you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, fear no evil for I am with you’…

… I will ‘never leave you nor forsake you? (Hebrews 13:5) for I am ‘Immanuel: God with you’ (Matthew 1:23) the ‘God of all Comfort’ (2 Corinthians 1:3)

‘ I am the Lord your Shepherd’ ‘ my rod and my staff they shall comfort you’…

… I am your ‘shield, your fortress and your deliverer, so trust me… (Psalm 144:2) ‘none shall stand against you all the days of your life.’ (Joshua 1:5)…

‘ I have prepared a table before you in the presence of your enemies’…

… ‘ I am an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversary’ (Exodus 23:22) ...

… ‘ I am your defence, the rock of your refuge and will bring upon your enemies their own iniquities and cut them off in their own wickedness’ (Psalm 94:22-23)

‘ I am the Lord your Shepherd’ ‘ I have anointed your head with oil’

… I have consecrated and separated you unto myself, ‘you who once were afar off are made near by the blood of Christ’ Ephesians 2:13

‘ I fill your cup until it runs over’

… ‘ I am your provision, I came that you might have life more abundant’ (John 10:10)…
