assist   with  general  cleaning  and  clerical  tasks,  etc.    Daily  orientation  sessions  start  at  9:00  a.m.      Contact   john@masterprovisions.org  to  volunteer  or  just  show  up  at  7725  Foundation  Dr.,  Florence  any  weekday  between  9  and   5  and  we’ll  have  an  important  task  for  you  to  complete  as  we  work  together  to  help  people  living  under  severe   economic  duress.    Financial  support  is  needed,  too,  because  MP  does  not  charge  our  non-‐profit  partners  to  pick  up  food   used  to  care  for  our  neighbors  living  with  food  insecurity.    It  costs  only  $10,000  per  month  to  provide  this  valuable   service  to  our  communities  that  freely  distributes  over  $500,000  worth  of  grocery  items.     WE  ARE  NOW  ON  IGIVE   iGive.com  is  the  first  online  shopping  mall  where  a  portion  of  each  purchase  is  donated  to   your  favorite  cause.  iGive.com  was  established  in  1997  for  one  purpose:  to  turn  everyday   online  shopping  into  donations  for  worthy  causes,  at  no  cost  to  shoppers  or  the  causes  they   support.  Amazon,  Ace  Hardware,  Best  Buy,  Bath  and  Body  Works,  and  Dillard’s  are  among   some  of  the  hundreds  of  shops  to  choose  from!   CLOTHING  COMMENT  by  Roger  Babik   There  are  lots  of  new  things  to  celebrate  at  MP  in  the  first  quarter  of  the  New  Year!    Thanks  to   a  generous  foundation  grant  and  MASTERmatch  contributions,  we’re  upgrading  our  vehicle  fleet  with  some  new-‐to-‐MP   trucks  and  semi-‐tractors  that  will  reduce  maintenance  and  fuel  costs  by  thousands  of  dollars  in  2014.  Our  new  logo  is   officially  unveiled  in  this  issue  of  Clothes-‐Minded!    We  have  enjoyed  the  first  visit  to  the  U.S.  by  our  wonderful  Togolese   mission  partners,  Daniel  and  Kafui  Kpowbie.    Local  and  regional  food  distribution  is  now  an  official  part  of  the  MP
  • 3. portfolio  of  services  led  by  our  new  Director  of  Food  Operations/Regional  Outreach,  John  Eldridge.    We  welcome  Rick   Merrell  as  our  newest  member  of  the  MP  Board  of  Directors.    Thanks  for  encouraging,  sharing  and  serving  with  MP  as   we  gladly  honor  the  One  who  makes  all  things  new!
