Sheffler Update Connie and I traveled to Honobia, OK this month where Connie spoke to a ladies retreat held by the Kiamichi Mountain Mission. Susan Casey also spoke at the retreat. I helped by washing dishes in the kitchen. Sixty-seven (67) ladies attended the retreat. On the way home we met with Jaime Castro at Harvester Christian Church in St Charles, MO. Jaime is the Hispanic pastor for Harvester. He is making plans to move to Queretaro, Mexico the first of the year to revive a Christian college. Part of his plans include the setting up of a distant learning program to help develop more leaders for the churches. He is interested in our materials and methods and may be calling on me to help him set up the program. Christian Leadership Training Institute Sunday Ude reports that the leaders of the churches met for three days of prayer and reflection. Personal problems were shared and counseling was done. Nineteen were baptized as a result of a three-day crusade at Akamkpa. In November there will be graduation ceremonies for College and TEE students. A three-day conference is being planned for November 16-18 at Assiga Newtown. Stephen Ofori will travel to Liberia on November 1 to hold leadership seminars and visit the TEE work under the supervision of Solomon Gargar. A Message from Billy Graham to all Christians Below is a recent message that Billy Graham has authorized for publication by anyone who so desires. You may have already seen it in a newspaper ad. The legacy we leave behind for our children, grandchildren, and this great nation is crucial. As I approach my 94th birthday, I realize this election could be my last. I believe it is vitally important that we cast our ballots for candidates who base theirhttp://us5.campaign-archive1.com/?u=0d8c7a476d61499f8daf65f65&id=d4076b371e&e=da48c651b4[10/29/12 8:56:16 AM]
Sheffler Update decisions on biblical principles and support the nation of Israel. I urge you to vote for those who protect the sanctity of life and support the biblical definition of marriage between a man and a woman. Vote for biblical values this November 6, and pray with me that America will remain one nation under God. Billy Graham, Montreat, NC Your vote could change the future of this nation. In Switzerland County, Indiana in 1844 a farmer named Freeman Clark was near death. He begged his son to carry him to the county seat so he could vote for David Kelso to become a state senator. Freeman Clark got to vote, but died on his way home. David Kelso won the election by one vote, the vote of Freeman Clark. All Christians need to vote. Research shows that many Christians do not vote. PRAISE AND PRAYER REQUESTS 1. Thank God for the successful ladies retreat at Kiamichi Mountain Mission. 2. Thank God for the nineteen baptisms at Akamkpa. 3. Pray for Stephen Ofori as he travels to Liberia to hold leadership seminars. 6. Continue to pray for peace in Nigeria and the defeat of the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram. 7. Pray for our nation and the election on November 6. http://us5.campaign-archive1.com/?u=0d8c7a476d61499f8daf65f65&id=d4076b371e&e=da48c651b4[10/29/12 8:56:16 AM]
