    • Most Useful Tools
      • Wiki
      • Although I found it to be the most time consuming, it was my favorite.
      • It is a great collaboration tool.
      • The uses are endless - This will be great to use in the classroom when I return to teaching, but I used mine for our family printing company.
    • Most Useful Tools, Continued
      • RSS
      • It is, in fact, “really simple”. It took only a few minutes to set up and has a wide array of gadgets to choose from.
      • The news now comes to me.
      • Because I already have a Google account I chose iGoogle as my reader and it was a snap to add as my home page.
      • I now start the day a little more organized.

      • Blog
      • I think this would be my most useful tool if I were still in the classroom. There is so much you could do with it ---
      • Practice reading and writing, seek out other resources, connect with others outside the classroom….
      • Being a parent, I love the idea of being connected to what’s going on inside my children’s classroom.
      • Professionally, they are a wonderful way to set up networking.

      • Animoto
      • What a great way to add pizzazz to your pictures. I was able to make a professional looking video in minutes.
      • It was very simple and easy to use.
      • The music selection was great, but you even had the option of uploading your own music.
      • My kids couldn’t wait to experiment with making their own videos.
    • Successes and Challenges
      • Overall, the whole course was a success. I learned a great deal.
      • The wiki was my most challenging. My biggest hurdle was rationing my time. There was so much you could incorporate into the wiki I needed to budget my time better. I would still like to add more into this -- so for now I would have to consider it a “work in progress”.
    • More Successes and Challenges
      • When choosing a wiki site I chose PBworks. I thought it would be a better fit due to the fact I was using it for business instead of education. I chose the “basic” package and I thought I would be able to “dress it up” more. I would like to see if Wikispaces or another site has more options.
    • Moodle and Online Learning
      • This was my first experience with an online course. I don’t think I could have had a better experience.
      • Moodle was easy to use. All of the lessons were well thought out and there were plenty of tutorials.
      • I didn’t feel like I was stuck on an island – when I did hit a roadblock, I felt I could easily get in contact with a teacher or even others in the class.
      • The biggest plus was the schedule. I could work on the assignments any time and at my own pace.
      • I would definitely sign up for another class.

    • Thanks
      • I was a bit apprehensive about this class. It was very enjoyable and I learned a great deal. I’m excited to experiment a little more with some of the web tools. I’ll be looking forward to signing up for another Moodle class with you.
