About ORCID: 0000-0001-9105-5960
My work focuses on the development of software standards and infrastructure for scientific computing. I co-developed and led to prominence today’s most widely-used format for representing computational models in systems biology, the Systems Biology Markup Language (SBML). I also co-founded BioModels.net, the Systems Biology Graphical Notation (SBGN), the Systems Biology Ontology (SBO), and was instrumental in the early development of BioModels Database. Most recently, I co-founded COMBINE (the Computational Modeling in Biology Network) and HARMONY (the Hackathon on Resources for Modeling in Biology).
