  3. 3. Self-Efficacy Social Cognitive Theory (Albert Bandura) As we succeed at tasks we gain a greater self-efficacy towards the task. Students often have strong self-efficacy towards entertainment and social media. Students often find little stimulation from the traditional research paper.

  8. 8. Take away Challenging students to create media can increase self-efficacy towards complex technical tasks. Give them the freedom to explore a topic they are interested in. Creating multimedia projects about topics covered in social media and traditional media allows them to better understand McLuhan’s notion that “The medium is the message.”
