2. ABOUT THE FILM
BULLY tells the stories of five brave families that
challenge viewers to move from shock and resignation
about bullying to action, transforming schools and
communities into places where empathy and respect are
valued and bullying is unacceptable.
“Successful L.A. Figures Joined 6,500 LAUSD Students to Watch ‘Bully’”
“Moving...powerfully illuminates the emergence of a movement.”
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa
“I got to see it last night and I can tell you it’s powerful. As a father, as someone who
operates schools, as someone who is committed to protecting our kids, this is an
opportunity for people to realize that there are 13 million kids who are bullied. That’s
13 million too many.”

Facing History and Ourselves is an international educational and professional development organization whose mission is to engage students of
diverse backgrounds in an examination of racism, prejudice, and antisemitism in order to promote the development of a more humane and in-

8. IMPACT
“We have already begun to see changes in our students. One student went up to another right after the movie to apologize for the way she had treated
the other student in the past. Another student admitted to a teacher that he realized he has sometimes shown bully-like behavior. We’ve also seen a
higher awareness of bullying behavior. If a student is teasing someone, either the student being teased or another student is much more likely to speak
up and point out that behavior as bullying. As a teacher, I try to make my classroom a safe, bully-free environment, but the movie has pushed me to
think about this even more and try to improve how I handle conflict between students. The movie has not solved all of our problems, but seeing it has
really helped us and our students make changes that we know will last well into the future.”

I am 11 years old. My whole 6th grade class saw the Bully movie and dedicated a whole day to discussing it. I saw the movie 3 days before the field trip
and found it so touching I cried almost the whole time. I have been bullied before and I know how it fells. I have been called gay, fat, ugly etc. I used to
get really upset about it but now I move on and say “I DON’T care what they think. I care what I think!” You are so brave to be a part of the Bully movie! I
applaud you for being such a brave person you are what the world needs more of. At my school’s discussions you were by far the most talked about person
your story has inspired so many kids at my school and I feel that bullying has decreased at my school, it’s still there but less of it. You change people.
KEEP ON FIGHTING YOU WILL WIN AND YOU ALREADY HAVE BEAT SO MANY PEOPLE. YOU ROCK!!! GO KELBY GO!!!
P.S. - You have helped me mature so much as a person.
P.P.S - This movie needs to be shown to all 7.6 billion members of this planet.
