  • 2. Exhibition programme Tour of the Young Vic Friday 20 Sep 12-1pm Monday 23 Sep 2-3pm Tuesday 24 Sep 2-3pm Meet at Waterloo Action Centre FREE. Just turn up. Join us for a walk focusing on the Young Vic Theatre on The Cut. You’ll hear about the theatre’s history and architecture, and gain access to some of the non-public spaces inside. Arrive early as numbers are limited. Tea dance Friday 20 September 2.30-4.30pm Waterloo Action Centre £3 suggested donation. Just turn up. Come along to enjoy a tea dance including music and dancing along with tea, coffee and delicious cakes. The music from different times will invite you to remember the past and to enjoy the present! Film club: London - The Modern Babylon Friday 20 Sep 7pm Coin Street neighbourhood centre £4 per person including refreshments. Just turn up. Julien Temple’s epic time- travelling voyage to the heart of his hometown. Reaching back to London at the start of the 20th century, the story unfolds through a film archive and the voices of Londoners past and present, powered by popular music from across the century. Dramatic changes - Waterloo theatre walk Saturday 21 Sep 2pm Sunday 22 Sep 2pm Waterloo Action Centre FREE. Just turn up. Join us for a short walk on and around The Cut to explore two centuries of theatres. Launch of Coin Street Storybook Saturday 21 Sep 2-3.30pm Waterloo Action Centre FREE. Just turn up. Come along for a reading of the new Coin Street children’s storybook, created by Anna Robinson and Alice Stallard. Listen to the story of a shopping trip to Lower Marsh, buy a copy of the book and enjoy light refreshments. Talk on new local architecture Monday 23 Sep 6.30pm Coin Street neighbourhood centre FREE. Just turn up. Join Haworth Tompkins for a discussion about their recent projects in the local area. This multi-award winning architecture firm are responsible for the National Theatre Shed and Coin Street neighbourhood centre, as well as the refurbishment of the Young Vic Theatre and National Theatre Studio on The Cut.   • 3. History of Morley College Tuesday 24 Sep 12-1pm Waterloo Action Centre FREE. Just turn up. Elaine Andrews, librarian at Morley College, gives a fascinating talk about the history of the college from its beginnings at the Old Vic through to today. Architecture and Adverts: A history of Lower Marsh told through its buildings and trades Tuesday 24 Sep 5.30-6.30pm Waterloo Action Centre FREE. Just turn up. Richard Woollards, local architect and resident, will give a talk on the history of Lower Marsh using a range of resources from local archives. Blackfriars development talk Wednesday 25 Sep 1-2pm Waterloo Action Centre FREE. Just turn up. Join historian Chris Everett for a presentation about the fast- paced developments happening on Blackfriars Road. End of exhibition celebration Thursday 26 Sep 12-2pm Waterloo Action Centre Just turn up. Buy some fantastic food from one of the cafes or stalls on Lower Marsh and join us for the end of exhibition lunchtime celebration. Watch out for special deals. Old Vic New Voices: Creative workshop on housing Thursday 26 Sep 6.30-8.30pm Coin Street neighbourhood centre FREE. Advanced booking required. A fun and informal workshop led by Old Vic New Voices, which combines theatre techniques with a debate on homes in the Waterloo area. Meet new people, have your say about the current London housing situation and find out more about The Old Vic Community Company. Booking opens on 4 September.
