Online tools you might be missing

 1. 1. Online Tools:
What You Might Be Missing & How They Can Help You
and Your Business
2. 2. Meet: Tessa Miller
Tessa joined the Business Examiner's advertising sales team in June 2008. As the Social Media revolution grew, she took her love of technology and ran with it. Working with local businesses to help with their overall marketing efforts, and ensuring that the Business Examiner was represented in various digital channels.
In June of this year Tessa was promoted to Social Media & Digital Manager. You will find her randomly and frequently posting on Twitter and Facebook as herself (@nowtherearetwo) as well as behind the scenes for @BizExam, and various other businesses in the community.
In her spare time she chases two small children, spends time with family and friends and is co-owner of Blue Apple LLC, a local remodeling company.
3. 3. 12. 12. GET SOCIAL!
Twitter + Facebook = no value + time killer
(or does it?)
13. 13. How to Get Social?
Social media is important because it makes you and your organization approachable and can cause your followers to "take ownership" of your success. Engage them - what you're doing and why (in a non-spammy way).
Twitter - [be funny, vulnerable, informative] Make sure you have a photo, and fully complete the profile info. If someone follows you.... unless they are a robot you should follow them back, can always create lists to manage if you want to only view certain feeds. Talk to people. Re-Tweet their information. You should engage with others more than you “talk”.
Facebook - [be social, don't overpost, be informative, be relevant, reach out and tag others in your status updates] Do not go to random fan pages and post your "ad" - if I'm friends with you and like the page your on posting on... it spams me and is very annoying. Especially when you copy and paste to several pages within minutes.
If you haven't heard of “subscribing,” on Facebook, be sure to take a look, great way to connect with fans of your company without become "friends".
Northsocial.com - Great app that makes your Facebook page more interactive... promote your company, run contests, even sell items right there on Facebook.
14. 14. Google.com
Taking over the world?

Google +
 15. 15. Google SMS (you can still "google" from your dumb phone!)
