1. 1. Online Policy Primer
2. 2. Tumblr: What is it?
Tumblr is a media-sharing platform which is used by millions of people all over the world. The seven types of posts are: Text, Photo, Quote, Link, Chat, Audio & Video.
3. 3. What else can you do on Tumblr?
Besides original posts, you can reblog others posts.
4. 4. Tumblr allows you to post, but what exactly are you agreeing to?
5. 5. You are agreeing...
“Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Tumblr may offer to provide the Services, as described more fully on the Site, and which are selected by Subscriber, solely for Subscriber’s own use, and not for the use or benefit of any third party”
This means, Tumblr users can only use the services that Tumblr provides on the Site.
6. 6. As a individual user, you must be at least 13 years of age
“Subscriber certifies to Tumblr that if Subscriber is an individual (i.e., not a corporate entity), Subscriber is at least 13 years of age. No one under the age of 13 may provide any personal information to or on Tumblr (including, for example, a name, address, telephone number or email address).”
7. 7. Access to Tumblr may be illegal outside of the United States…
“Tumblrmakes no claim that the Site may be lawfully viewed or that Content may be downloaded outside of the United States. Access to the Content may not be legal by certain persons or in certain countries. If You access the Site from outside the United States, You do so at Your own risk and You are responsible for compliance with the laws of Your jurisdiction.”
12. 12. Although you own what you post…

Tumblr is allowed to use, copy and create other versions of your content.
