      • Aggressive: overpowers other
      • Passive: Avoids dealing with problems
      • Passive –Aggressive: hides emotions & then sneakily gets revenge
      • Assertive: Clear, confident, & in control
    • 3. Do You Get It? The Situation: Doug and Bev had to give a presentation at 1 PM. The presentation was at Doug’s office. Bev hardly knew anyone in the office, so she was very uncomfortable being there alone when Doug was 35 minutes late. Give Examples Of All 4 Responses:
    • 4. Why Does It Matter? 4 Styles of Relating Pros Cons Aggressive Motivated Too Pushy Passive More Patience No self Confidence Passive-Aggressive Detail Oriented Sneaky Assertive Confident Know-it-all
    • 5. Concept: Listen More Then You Speak!
      • Make and keep eye contact
      • Show that your paying attention
      • Ask for clarification if your confused
      • Hold your comments till there done talking
      • Watch your body language
      • Every so often mirror that person
    • 6. An Exercise!!!
    • 7. How Do You Relate?
    • 8. Remember You Are Always On Stage! And with Effective Communication you’ll have an attentive audience!
