Website design Topic: ‫( قراءتي حياتي‬my reading is my life) Overview (introduction): Reading is the cornerstone of knowledge and knowledge is the power of any .developed country The habit of reading changed dramatically throughout the last century. Now reading is not just books and the new technology helps knowledge to be available everywhere anytime. But I have notice that the fact that knowledge is now easy to be searched using the internet have lead people to be more lazy not to read daily and sufficiently. Now lots of people around the word stopped reading books and so knowledge become more and more superficial and shallow. I looked around me, noticing family, friends, collogues and students and I realize that we need to give more care to what we read and we have to read more and more. I mean the organized reading which will help us having a powerful applicable knowledge. So I started to think of establishing .a website about reading to involve the community around me :Statement of the Problem The designed website aimed to enhanced reading, gives information about different types of reading, gives information in what to read, how to read fast, it also gives .feedback through comments from other readers It aim to change the concept that Arabs are down the list of readers in the world. It aim to support the readers and gives them the place where they can start to read .effectively and to find teams to read with and get feedback on the materials they read :It aimed to answer the following questions 1) how to become a good reader? 2) What to read? 3) How to increase the speed of reading? 4) How to motivate others especially children at home? 5) How to choose a good book and where to start exactly? And much much more.. objectives: 1) to establish a website that provide information and activity to motivate people to read. 2) To provide the readers with information regarding reading and the different types of reading. 3) To give trust sources, books and enhanced organized, specialized reading. 4) To maintain an environment where readers can interact with different peoples and share books and discuss difficulties and activities and get feedback from other readers.
  2. 2. 5) To provide electronic library where readers can download their books and share knowledge with others. 6) To maintain support and solutions to different reading difficulties. 7) To adverse the website worldwide and maintain readers from the whole globe. Scope: No demographic distribution because I want the website to be for all. Although I hope that it will help the community especially the people around me.. importance: it is very important to enhance reading in any community and to find out solution to difficulties. It will improve knowledge and enhance reading which are the power tool of today. Summary Review of websites: Through the internet I found different sites about reading e.g. http://www.bookdepository.co.uk http://www.rif.org http://www.reading.org http://www.readingonline.org http://www.arabicebook.com http://www.tipsclub.com most of them are English based sites, little Arabic sites about reading and even they provide e-books but not discussing reading in context. No group work available in most of them. Interactive classroom 2.0 (Instructional Blog) Project Description: With the expansion of technology we now have new forms of electronic media, electronic media, culture, beliefs that fueled the emergence of a culture of blogs, e increase of the relationship between individuals and media sources, have revealed blogging about the new recipient is the awareness and the ability to choose the news and information, and provided an opportunity for all members of the community dissemination of their creations. Given the evolution of personal blogging in most countries of the world was the Sultanate of Oman has a large share of them, as the number of personal blogs. The best example of the use of blogs in the Sultanate what we see in the Sultan Qaboos University in department of Instructional and Learning Technology.

The scope: This project will show to apply blogs applications in instructional operation and how the teachers and students can get benefits from this type of service to facilitate the education and give the students more freedom and more effective learning. The problem is no resources for students and teachers, so through this project, we will try to provide special portal for students and teachers to find information quickly and clearly. Also, this portal will be interactive environment for learning. This project will include more than three of blogs application and some information about course. Also, this paper presents how to use of blogs tools as learning technologies with some projects in different types of blogs technologies. Problem Statement: This project gives us method to create interactive classroom between teacher and students. . Also, this project will help teachers and students to share their knowledge and skills in easy way and freedom. Project goal & objectives: The Goal: Activating the e-learning in the educational process. Objectives:  Contact between students outside the classroom.  Posted productions of students in course material.  Discussing the projects which are posted.  Students benefit from the work of others. Materials:  Open new blog by using the commercial system like (blogger.com).  Some presentations and instructional lesson which are design by alone.  My projects which are created in last semesters.  The innovations of ILT students in SQU.  posts of teachers educational products.  Others :  Photos

Development of the Code so as to be the showcase for information. 3. Collection of software and information from the students. 4. Communicate with teachers and data collection, which includes (lessons, presentations and activities learning) of them. 5. Remove products for students and teachers in the Code. 6. Organize information in a good condition and suitable for the user. 7. Strengthen the supply and data a number of pictures and graphics. 8. Posted creation of students and teachers so that the interaction through the Internet. An Approach to Delivering Content:  Uses free, online services to organize and distribute targeted content to learners.  Encourages flexible, responsive practice  Encourages students to take control of their own learning. Needs assessment: :The student's needs are identified and the objectives of the project are determined as a result of  The students must know the different recourse to get information.  The students benefit from the information presented in the blogs application.  The school must has the internet application (Web2,E-mail,….).  Also, the ethical side of using information from the blogs must be clear to the student and how to avoid plagiarism. Entry skills:  Navigating the internet.

Budget: The budget will divide to three stages: Pre - Production: 15 rails for some software and using computer labs. 5rails for graphic and designer Production: 100 rails Post –production: 300 rails for marketing and sales. The total of the budget: 420 R.O. Target audience: The project will serve both teachers and students who are from grade 9 to grade 12 and teachers. The basic knowledge that students should have before starting dealing with this learning portal: • Basic computer skills (e.g. typing, using mouse, turn on the computer). • Good background about the main Microsoft programs, like, word Microsoft. • How to save files. • Ability to access to internet. The learners' characteristics are:  They are interest in colors, pictures and designs.  They like business, book, newspapers and advertisements.  They are interest in participations in schools.  They have ability to learn technology quickly.  They have good background about all Microsoft programs family.  They can deal with English and Arabic language.  They can do in work team and individual The Environment: The project will be presented in commercial system (blogger):
  6. 6.  Network: these materials should be taught in the schools labs within the school's network (LAN) and it can be provided to the students through the school blogs.  Computers availability: each student should have his own computer to learn the content individually and he can discuss the topic with his classmates using the discussion board in the blogs.  Internet Accessibility.  The display media: the blogger management system The importance of instructional Blogs: Instructional blog is very useful for students and teachers. Students can find information and access to their subjects easily. And, they can communicate and connect with their teacher. Also, teacher can upload their lesson in the blogs to their students. Impact: This project will help students and teachers to collaborate, store, productivity, communicate and share the knowledge and skills. Conditions and constrains (resources):  Internet and Blogger applications.  Search engines and websites.  Real lessons and multimedia computer labs.  Ministry Forum. Need Equipment and Software  MS FrontPage.  Movie Maker software.  PowerPoint.  MS Word.  Web2 (slide share, blog, free webs and YouTube).
