  1. 1.  When I began teaching, I taught first grade. The next year I switched to third grade and now I am teaching kindergarten.
  2. 2.  I graduated from Illinois State with a degree in elementary education. I minored in early childhood development. I plan on getting my master’s soon.

  4. 4.  Reading is one of the most important things to me. It is important for a child to be able to read. Reading helps them in all other areas of their academic life as well as the real world. We will do a lot of reading activities in class.
  5. 5.  I love to run! I like to shop and spend time with my family, friends, and my dog. I like to read. I also like to travel. I also like to watch baseball.

  8. 8.  I became a teacher because I love children. I want to see them succeed. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I used to play “school” when I was younger. I want to be able to make school fun for the students so they want to learn.
  9. 9.  I have been to France, Germany, and Holland. My favorite kind of music is country music. My favorite books are Dear John and Water for Elephants. I have a rat terrier named Joey. My favorite grade in elementary school was 2nd grade.
