  • 1.  Kangaroo rats live in habitat variety ofdesert niches. These can be open desertshrub, open grassland , washes, sandy soilor creosote and flat. New Mexico , Arizona,northern mexico and Hawaii. They live inareas of low rainfall and humidity and highsummer temperature and evaporationrates.
  • 2.  Kangaroo rats eat seeds from a varielyof desert grasses as well as mesquitebean and some kangaroo rat will greenvegetain and some insect.
  • 3. The kangaroo rat can leap about 54inches. The kangaroo rat’s tail is verylong. It hunts for food so it could live .Sometimes kangaroo rats get out of theirburrows . The kangaroo rat has big eyes.It lives in the desert. Kangaroo rats makenests or burrows . It has big cheeks .Kangaroo rats don’t drink a lot of water .
