  • 4. The Netherlands consists out of twelve provinces in North West Europe.
  • 5. • The population of the Netherlands is around 16 millions. • The people is called as “Dutch”. • The capital city is Amsterdam.

  • 7. Netherlands is a small country in North-West Europe and three islands in the Caribbean.
  • 8. Around 20% of area is located below sea level and about half of its land lying less than one metre above sea level.

  • 10. Windmill The Netherlands has more than 1000 windmills. The largest concentration of Dutch windmills can be found near the village of “Kinderdijk”. The mills represent the age-long battle against water.
  • 11. Tulips The inhabitants immediately fell in love with the flower and soon designated it a national symbol. Netherlands have the largest flower garden in the world name is “Keukenhof”. Keukenhof is one of the most visit tourist attractions in the Netherlands.
