STaR <ul><li>The Texas Campus STaR chart shows a campus’ progress of the Long-Range Plan for Technology. </li></ul><ul><li>There are four sections to this chart: Teaching and Learning, Educator Preparation and Development, Leadership, Administration, and Instructional Support, and Infrastructure for Technology. </li></ul>

Levels of Progress <ul><li>Early Tech- E-mail, online usage, less than 9 hours of technology professional development (technology used is not for direct instruction) </li></ul><ul><li>Developing Tech- Direct instruction, modeling, students have weekly access to computers; 9 to 18 hours of technology professional development </li></ul>

Levels of Progress, cont’d. <ul><li>Advanced Tech-Higher level thinking processes using graphics, video, animation, etc., 85% of students have mastered Technology Applications TEKS, Teachers take 19 to 29 hours of professional development </li></ul><ul><li>Target Tech- Students use appropriate technologies as a necessary way to gain knowledge and information; 86% to 100% of students have mastered TA TEKS, and teachers attend 30 or more hours of technology staff development. </li></ul>
