It is a tour around some scenaries of famous Hollywood movies; The Backlot Studio Tour starts with a demonstration of special water effects like how a storm at sea and battle of ships are done for motion pictures. Part of the demonstration involves audience participation .
The Beauty and the Beast
Spectacular 25 minute mini production of the hit movie, "Beauty and the Beast". Guests are able to enjoy the singing, choreography, dancing, sets and the spectacular costumes. This production recreates some of the scenes from the movie with favorite songs like "Be Our Guest". The romantic finale finishes with the dramatic effect of the release of white doves;
Watch Sorcerer Mickey battle Disney Villains in this sensational laser and light show. Due to the loudness of some parts, this may be too intense for children and some adults. At the end of the show, Disney characters emerge from behind the mountain on a decorated ferryboat.
The Great Movie Ride
If you're a movie buff, then you won't want to miss
Inside the lobby where you'll see movie memorabilia such as the carousel horse from Mary Poppins and one of the three pairs of ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz.
Using film footage, special effects and Audio-animatronic figures of famous actors, guests are treated to 22 minutes of scenes from some classic films like "Casablanca", "Tarzan", "Mary Poppins", "Singin' in the Rain", "Wizard of Oz", "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Alien".
Be prepared to be part of the action in some scenes .
Darling I shrunk the kids
A Huge playground that´s going to make you feel very small.
Stunt Coordinator, Glenn Randall, of the Indiana Jones movies, directs this extravaganza in which key scenes from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" are re-enacted to demonstrate to guests how stunts are designed and performed safely. In addition to the professional stuntmen and women, audience volunteers are selected to act in the scenes.
This fast paced action adventure uses specially designed cars, jet skis and motorcycles in a high speed pursuit. Some vehicles are designed to drive in reverse, while one splits in half. You’ll know which car is the “hero” and which is the “villain” by color coding.
Lights, Motors, Action ! Extreme Stunt Show
Here, you´ll learn a little about animation, and you´ll be able to play around by being Donald´s voice, to paint your choice of a Disney character. For the ultimate animation experience, you can learn how to draw a character from a Disney Animator.
Muppet Vision 3-D
One of the most entertaining pre-show areas at WDW is found at the Muppets 3D attraction. Overhead monitors show a 12 minute presentation starring Scooter, Gonzo and Sam Eagle, to set up the main feature.
Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream
It provides a fascinating journey through the life of Walt Disney.
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith
G uests will encounter Aerosmith finishing up a studio recording session. After being invited by the band to see them in concert, guests will then climb aboard a 24-passenger “stretch limo” and swiftly accelerate into the Hollywood night. The experience will remain dimly lit while Southern California landmarks illuminate different twists and turns throughout the ride -- 365 days a year, rain or shine
Go behind the scenes of a television pilot featuring an undercover police assignment, with some mishaps along the way. The show features the popular technology of "binaural audio", where guests feel like they're a part of the adventure.
The actual ride uses flight simulator technology, combined with action film footage as you ride a 40 passenger StarSpeeder to the Moon of Endor
Tower of Terror
This ride opened in 1994, and takes you on an eerie journey through a deserted Hollywood Hotel where you visit the lobby, the library (check out "Rod Serling") and the boiler room. The adventure culminates with a 13-story drop in a runaway 1917 caged service elevator!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Exceptional lighting techniques and special effects make you feel like you are indeed a part of the Little Mermaid's world in Voyage of the Little Mermaid. This 15 minute musical stage production uses live action, puppetry (if you look closely, you can see the puppeteers dressed in black as they work their magic on stage), special effects, music and movie clips to tell the tale of the Little Mermaid
