Whenever you take sin and turn it into crime, what you’ve done is taken God out of the picture because sin is committed between a person and God. Crime is malfeasance between two human beings. \n

I must understand that I amonly the VESSEL, the CONDUIT,and the FAUCET!Romans 7:14-25
It’s all about victory! The reason why many fail in battle is becausethey wait until the hour of battle. The reasonwhy others succeed is because they havegained their victory on their knees longbefore the battle came. Anticipate yourbattles; fight them on your knees beforetemptation comes, and you will always havevictory. Author: R.A. Torrey
Are you victorious?• The first step on the way to victory is to recognize the enemy. Author: Corrie Ten Boom• Nothing paralyzes our lives like the attitude that things can never change. We need to remind ourselves that God can change things. Outlook determines outcome. If we see only the problems, we will be defeated; but if we see the possibilities in the problems, we can have victory. Author: Warren Wiersbe
So, what is sin?•The answer is rebellion against God!SIN IS INSUBORDINATION: It is rebellion against God’srevealed truth and will as we have it in the Bible and in real life.•SINS OF OMISSION: when we know what is right and fail tospeak up or fail to act when called upon.•SINS OF COMMISSION: anything we do which we know to bea direct rebellion towards God’s will in our lives.

Nine Ways Sin Deceives us D. Martin Lloyd Jones 1 Corinthians 10:231. Sin gets us to misuse the Law.2. Sometimes sin changes its tactics.3. Sin tells us that it does not matter if we are holy.4. Sin deceives us by making us angry at the Law.5. Sin gets us to believe that the Law is worthless.6. Sin makes us think very highly of ourselves.7. Sin tells us that the law is oppressive.8. Sin makes righteousness look so unattractive.9. Sin causes us to discount the disobedience.
We Struggle With Sin (13-20) Paul next raised another question.Romans 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me?He answered it beginning in the remainder of the same verse. Romans7:13-16 ....God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death inme by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might becomeexceeding sinful. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do Inot; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, Iconsent unto the law that [it is] good.
We struggle with sinLike all of us, Paul’s struggle with sinwas real. His desire was to do good, butas he writes, “there is no ability to doit”(v.18) Even for those who deeplydesire to do good, sin is ever present andguides us toward evil. The depravingpower of sin should never beunderestimated.
(21) I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one whowills to do good.(22) For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.(23) But I see another law in my members, warring against thelaw of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sinwhich is in my members.(24) O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from thisbody of death?(25) I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, withthe mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the lawof sin.
We have victory over sinPaul understood that in his sin, he was a“wretched man” (v.24). Defeat was his destiny, but he found victory over the destruction of sin. What was his key to victory? His faith in the Onewho triumphed over sin and death. Victory canbe ours too, based not in religions but in arelationship with Jesus Christ our Lord.
Salvation does not come through anylaw-abiding righteousness on our partbut “through Jesus Christ our Lord”(v. 25). In his death and resurrection, hehas atoned for the penalty of our law-breaking sinfulness and has furtherbroken the power of that system over us(Romans 7:5-6).
Simplistic solutions!Paul shows that even though the law is glorious and good, itcant save us - and we need a Savior. Paul never found anypeace, any praising God until he looked outside of himself andbeyond the law to his Savior, Jesus Christ. The glorious truth remains: there is victory in Jesus! Jesusdidnt come and die just to give us more or better rules, but tolive out victory through those who believe. The message of thegospel is that there is victory over sin, hate, death, and all evilas we surrender out lives to Jesus and let Him live out victorythrough us.
Our Further Victory 1 Corinthians 15:56-5856 For sin is the sting that results in death, andthe law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God!He gives us victory over sin and death throughour Lord Jesus Christ. 58 So, my dear brothersand sisters, be strong and immovable. Alwayswork enthusiastically for the Lord, for you knowthat nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
