• Over the last 9 years, ive pretty much put a radio show to air every week day. my area of expertise is managing talent / producing radio content so tonight i will talk about what ive learnt managing talent AS A PRODUCER. hopefully you will be able to join the dots from this - to what you do
• to give this context.... The funnel Deal with problems / give me feedback on content and performance / manage calendar / keep them motivated Ultimately responsible for making sure the show is talking to the right people about the right things
• Gravy Chip Example
• H&A BRAND VALUES - The Peoples Show - We will go bigger than our competition - H&A Are NOT Celebrities Not just a radio show - Live stage / TV Shows / CDs / Podcasts / Songs on iTunes / Fastest selling chip flavour ever Use brand values as your benchmark
• debrief - what worked / didint work / what can we learn? What worked / didn’t work? What can we learn for next time? What worked / didn’t work? What can we learn for next time?
• Jules & Fi are extreme opposites - challenge has been to show them that this is a strength Tina Fey Quote - when talking about hiring writers for 30 Rock “when hiring, mix Harvard Nerds with Chicago Improvisers. The Harvard guys check the logic and construction of every joke, the improvisors teach the Harvard guys to be human. you need both”
• it’s much easier to build a culture, than change one
