Wonderful presentation....Equally true for our life , Not the facts but the moral of the story is important

    Hi.
God’s creation is a wonderful teacher. But it is important to be accurate and not use incorrect information. The point about the eagle’s youth renewing contains a common error: that an eagle goes through a single traumatic rejuvenation process in which all the feathers, the claws, and sometimes it’s said the beak are all lost or the eagle rubs or knocks them off. That is not true. That is not how an eagle’s youth is renewed. It is renewed annually through a normal molting process, something most if not all birds go through. That erroneous tale has been told many times and even published by Christian authors, often significantly embellished, but it’s based on imagination. Ornithologists and other scientists know better, and sometimes such a thing is used to mock Christians, or supposedly “prove” the Bible as un-true. Of course, the Bible does not teach that fantastic story. So neither should Christians repeat it.

    Thanks.

This is a bunch of hooie! The first sentence tips you off. A Bald Eagle is the ONLY member of the species. Eagles don’t do any of this. I think this is just a bunch of the Obama/Pelosi Democrats trying to rationalize their attack on our Bill of Rights.

Wow!!!! Are the guys complaining about the facts of the eagle story dense or what....It’s a story that has a specific point and it is a story guys like the 'complainers' should be able to get, but thats what you guys do, right....maybe the next story should be about how you can not change people and that change occurs only when the individual decides to make a chnge....perhaps the tale of the scorpian and the toad would better suit your tastes, oh ya, animals can not talk, so I guess it’s another complaint and another lost life lesson that obviously does not apply to you or anyone associated to you...and the guy talking about grammar; oh, my, my, my, my.....too long in corporate America, learn to get results. if this, helped only one person it was worth tha grammar mistake.

well, It’s a nice story, I see why people like it, but I wish people would be more carefull how they write. ' Its' is the genitive, does not need an apostrophe. 'It is' can be contracted as 'it’s', but 'its’', is not a word.

As I am 85 years of age. I have to agree that this story is true. And debrann you do not know anything. I have been raising eagles since I was in my 20’s . Maybe you better observe them in the wild instead of in a cage.

Is this true? What kind of eagle is portrayed in this presentation? I have researched but no data on what is being alleged here about life span of 70 years, and changes in talons, beaks and feathers after 40 years. Please provide proofs so I can respond to people who will see this presentation. I’m hesitant to share unless I have facts...thanls

Thanks so much for sharing. I use the eagle story in my pathway planning with young people.

Rebirth of the Eagle - Story of Eagle Photo Presentation - Presentation Transcript

  1. The story of the eagle…
  2. The eagle has the longest life-span of its’ species
  3. But to reach this age, the eagle must make a hard decision It can live up to 70 years
  4. Its’ long and flexible talons can no longer grab prey which serves as food In its’ 40’s
  5. Its’ long and sharp beak becomes bent
  6. Its’ old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers, become stuck to its’ chest and make it difficult to fly
  7. Then, the eagle is left with only two options: die or go through a painful process of change which lasts 150 days.
  8. The process requires that the eagle fly to a mountain top and sit on its’ nest
  9. There the eagle knocks its’ beak against a rock until it plucks it out
  10. After plucking it out, the eagle will wait for a new beak to grow back and then it will pluck out its’ talons
  11. When its’ new talons grow back, the eagle starts plucking its’ old-aged feathers
  12. 30 more years And after five months , the eagle takes its’ famous flight of rebirth and lives for ... 30 more years .
  13. Many times, in order to survive we have to start a change process. Why is change needed ? We sometimes need to get rid of old memories, habits and other past traditions. Only freed from past burdens, can we take advantage of the present
