  • 3. W3C GuidelinesWorld Wide Web Consortium (W3C) o an international community where Member organizations, a full-time staff, and the public work together to develop Web standards o Led by Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee and CEO Jeffrey Jaffe o W3Cs mission is to lead the Web to its full potential
  • 4. Organizational StructureAdministrative Term o W3C is administered via a joint agreement among three "Host Institutions" ( MIT , ERCIM , and Keio University) o The W3C staff is led by a Director and CEO o Small management team is responsible for resource allocation and strategic planning

Organizational StructureProcess Term The W3C Process Document, Member Agreement, Patent Policy, and a few others documents establish the roles and responsibilities o Advisory Committee, composed of one representative from each W3C Member o Advisory Board, elected by the Advisory Committee o Technical Architecture Group (TAG), seeks to document Web Architecture principles
