What is Vehicle Tracking Services? The tracking device that is installed in your vehicle (1,5) collects GPS longitude/latitude locations. It then transmits this information via satellite or a cellular network (2,6), which in turn delivers the data to the TrackYourTruck-hosted application (3). The location data is then translated into user-friendly information that can be accessed by any computer with a connection to the Internet (4). Vehicle Tracking Services is the transfer of a vehicle’s location through a communication network to a data collection site. Why are two-minute

updates so important?

Vehicle tracking services are based on GPS update frequency; the more frequent the update, the closer you are to real-time information. Most of our competitors have standard 5- to 15-minute updates; we provide up to 7.5 times more updates as the industry standard and, in most cases, our service fees are less expensive.

GPS location messages are sent via cellular and satellite networks. Just like a cellular phone call, a connection or GPS update can be dropped. Therefore, it is important to have FREQUENT updates to compensate for any lost transmissions.

Intelli-Status – Real-Time Status Real-Time Truck Status indicates arrival and/or departure from any user-defined location (Intelli-Status Points). These are locations that are important to your company’s operation: company offices, customers, vendors, yards, terminals, job sites, employee homes. Yellow vehicle icon indicates a Leave status (vehicle is no longer at a pre-defined location) Green vehicle icon indicates an Arrive status (vehicle is at a pre-defined location

Intelli-Status Configuration Intelli-Status Points are easy to configure. Simply name the Point, enter the address, and click on “Locate”. The software will verify the address and designate a longitude and latitude. The Point can be viewed on a map and easily adjusted for more accurate tracking of vehicle arrivals and departures.

Online Reports Historical information and analysis is an important part of day-to-day tracking services. VTS offers an array of reporting features to help you manage your fleet. TrackYourTruck provides informative, easy-to-use reports aimed at helping our customers make decisions based on vehicle patterns, as well as one-time events. GPS Detail Report GPS Detail Report displays each individual GPS update for an individual truck during any defined time frame. Data offered with this report are: Date & Time Estimated Speed Directional Heading Longitude & Latitude Address

Map Replay Map Replay illustrates a vehicle’s route for a selected period of time. Icons represent each GPS location during select time period. Click on a GPS icon and a legend box with sequence number, time, speed & direction, and street location will display. Animated playback feature allows for Play, Pause, Reverse, and Forward capabilities.

Truck Activity Report The Truck Activity Report provides a detailed picture of each vehicle’s activity for a select time period. Each report can be run separately or as an all-inclusive report. Available reports are:

Miles by State Report The Miles by State Report presents miles driven each day by state for a select time period for individual vehicles or the entire fleet.

Online Reports – Preventative Maintenance Service The Preventative Maintenance Service report provides tracking of service intervals for each vehicle. TYT automatically calculates the engine hours and vehicle miles to eliminate the need to physically check the vehicle for necessary preventative maintenance. Online Reports – Point Activity & Web Activity The Point Activity will display a single or several pre-defined locations and the activity associated with each one. TrackYourTruck will display the point name, the date & time of arrival or departure, the truck identifier, the event (Arrive or Leave), and the time spent at that particular point. The Web Activity report provides information on who has logged onto the TrackYourTruck software and includes the date and time the user’s session began and ended and the total time the user was logged on. Print and/or Export Capability All reports can be exported to a variety of popular formats for information retention or inclusion into other applications. Supported formats include Microsoft Excel, text, and Crystal Report formats. GPS Detail report exported to Excel formatted file.

Automatic Email Alerts & Scheduled Reports Automatic Email Alerts can be set up to be sent when a pre-defined parameter has been met. Scheduled Reports are Truck Activity Reports that are sent to specified email alerts daily or weekly. Any alerts or scheduled reports created in Options will produce email to select recipients when the set parameter is met.
