  This is interesting. Rituals that we do not understand does not mean that it will not work. I recall when I was younger, my father being a Taoist, gave me a talisman to ward bad dreams. They stopped when I started wearing it. So, could it be that I believe in what my father said it would do for me?
  
  Then I played with it and acted out the rituals I saw my father did with it over incense but I did it over smoke from a mosquito coil. The bad dreams recurred after that. How do you explain this?

  For world peace, maybe this is what we should practice instead of condemning what we do not understand.
