    Notes on slide 1

The Tantaline technology was born in 1984 at Danfoss. Danfoss is a multibillion dollar company that focuses on heating and cooling automation systems and in many ways is similar to Honeywell. In 1993 the Tantaline technology was used to create its first commercial parts. These were thermowells for use in boiling Hcl service and are still in operation today. From 1995 -2005 the Tantaline technology was focused on medical devices. During this time period there were many engineering, process control and quality improvements achieved. Due to the high specification and reproducibility required in the medical device industry this has advanced the Tantaline technology significantly to be a very reproducible and precise process. In 2006 the Tantaline technology was then re-focused back on industrial applications. In 2007 Tantaline spun out of Danfoss. Finally in 2008 Tantaline is building a new larger industrial facility which will greatly increase our capacity and capabilities. In addition, Tantaline Inc was formed which will serve the Americas.

At Tantaline we are a technology driven materials company. With more than 15 years of technology, process and product development Tantaline has over 10 patents securing its unique position in the industry. This makes Tantaline the world leader in producing superb corrosion resistant and inert surfaces utilizing Tantaline alloy bonding surface technology and tantalum metal, the most corrosion resistant metal that is commercially available. Tantalines technology is ideal for many industrial applications spanning chemical processing oil & gas, pharmaceuticals food, offshore and electroplating to name a few.

At Tantaline our mission is simple. It is to be a direct substitute for exotic and specialty materials like zirconium, nickel alloys, titanium and tantalum. We are able to achieve this because we can supply materials with higher corrosion performance, competitive costs and shorter lead times.

At Tantaline there are 3 facility locations. In Nordborg Denmark there is our administration and production facilities. In Copenhagen Denmark we handle all of our research and development activities. And in Waltham MA in the USA we deal with all of our sales in North and South America.

    2. Brief History 1984 Danfoss Tantalum Technologies is born as a development project 1993 The first “Tantaline” products are supplied to the chemical industry: They are still in operation today since 1993 in concentrated hydrochloric acid at 100 deg. C. 1995 – 2005 The Tantaline technology was focused on the medical device industry. 2006 Danfoss Tantalum Technologies becomes a business unit within the Danfoss Group with specific focus on industrial applications. 2007 A consortium of venture investors invest in Danfoss Tantalum Technologies. Tantaline is spun-out of Danfoss. 2008 A new larger industrial production facility is being installed to be ready for production by early 2009. Tantaline Inc. is formed to serve the Americas. 2 www.tantaline.com
