Adding and Subtracting Fraction with Different Denominators - Presentation Transcript

    1. Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Different Denominators By: T.V.
    2. 1/2 + 2/4 + L.C.D. 2, 4 ,6, 8 ,10, 12 ,14, 16 ,18, 20 , L.C.D. 4,8,12,16,20,24,28,32,36,40
    3. 2/4 + 2/4 First you need to find the Least Common Denominator. Then you do whatever you did to the denominator you do to the numerator. After that you add the numerators and keep the denominator the same. Then you get the answer. The answer here is 1. + =
    4. 1/6 + 1/12 - L.C.D. 6, 12 ,18, 24 ,30, 36 ,42, 48 ,54, 60 L.C.D. 12,24,36,48,60,72,84,96,108,120
    5. 2/12 – 1/12 - First you find the Least Common Denominator and then whatever you did to the denominator you do to the numerator. Then you subtract and you get the answer. In this problem the answer is 1/12.
