  2. The past 3 months in review
    • Another residential management course done (one more to go)
      • Completed second assignment and working on the second
      • Presented mini-project (David P. in attendance)
    • Registered for PRINCE2 course (5 days, last week in February)
    • Researched “auto-tagging” state of the art
      • Exalead, SAFE, Presto-space, Media-Campaign, Nstein, RichNews, Muddy Boots, GATE
      • Edinburgh Uni.(coming soon), Oxford Uni., Sheffield Uni.,
    • Collaborations with PA Photo and their KTP associate
    • Designed Journotes Project and its timeline
    • Journotes Project on Schedule
      • Chosen and installed mediawiki
      • Preliminary Interviews with Journalists about usability
      • Worked on hiding the more daunting aspects of wikis with simple, clean interface
      • Worked with Mark Streatfield on design of page templates
      • Beginning to indentify and address the challenges facing the project

    • Journotes (user driven development)
      • Set-up ‘live’ test system
      • The slog – manual bootstrapping of PA content
      • Train ‘test’ group of wire journalist and refine system according to their experiences (structured use. Working on Political Bios and Olympians)
      • Present biscuit session about Journotes (another opportunity for user input)
      • Write user manuals, hold training sessions
      • Gradually increase test user group
      • Live by April
      • Projected development need is minimal

      • Develop time line (in step with other PA development work)
