AutoCad 2009 Educational Software

Can I get the AutoCAD 2009 software?
If you are an enrolled student, then you can get an educational version of the software.
How do I get the AutoCAD 2009 software?
You will need to go to:
http://students.autodesk.com
And register with the Autodesk student community
Registration is free! All you need is a valid, school-issued email address

Fill out the your details
Select the country
Use your student email (not your personal one)
Nominate a password
Read and agree to the terms, and Submit

You will be sent an email from Autodesk (to your student email). Click on the activation link in your email.
Once your registration is successful, go to the Software Downloads.
If you are prompted to log in, login with the same student email as your username, and the password you nominated.

Go to the Software Downloads, and scroll down until you see AutoCAD Architecture. We will be using the 2009 version. Find select the correct version.
Click on “Get Serial”. Take note of this serial number.
Scroll down to the Manual Download. You will see a link to the software as a manual download.
Alternatively, you can use the Autodesk download utility by clicking on the Download button.

Before you download the software, check the file sizes and your system and bandwidth limitations. Download time will vary based on file size and your Internet connection speed.
After you have downloaded the software, you will need to activate it with Autodesk using your unique serial number obtained by clicking on the "Download" or "Get Serial" buttons under each product. If you do not activate your software, it will operate as a standard 30-day trial version and time-out after 30 days. Once activated using your Autodesk Student Engineering & Design Community serial number, you will have a 13-month license to use the software.
Important!The Autodesk Product Registration and Activation process brings you to a web page that prompts you for a User ID and password. The Autodesk Product Registration and Activation site uses a different login mechanism than the login system used for the Student Community site. Therefore you will need to create a new User ID and Password to complete the registration process to obtain a product activation code.
