TAMPA BAY YOUNG REPUBLICANS SPICE UP IMAGE
Club debuts fresh, updated logo at September meeting
September 24, 2009 (Tampa)--Jonathan Torres, Marketing Director for TBYR and designer of the
new logo (featured above), proudly introduced fellow club members and local politicians to the new
brand of the local political organization. Based on the level of praise heard after the unveiling, it’s safe to
say the new look is a sure crowd pleaser.
The new logo features the club’s acronym in a modern font colored dark blue. To the right, a stylish and
modern take on the traditional symbol of the Republican Party.
“The most dramatic element of the logo is the contemporary interpretation of the elephant…facing
forward looking towards the future with strength, determination, and conviction,” said Torres.
In addition to the overall change in graphics, the new TBYR logo includes a line of Latin text which reads,
REPUBLICANUS DUCATUS INCENTORIS HINC, which means “Republican Leadership Starts Here”.
The updated logo will replace existing graphics on TBYR’s website, Facebook page, marketing and
promotional material.

direction young Republican professionals have for our party. Showing passion for our cause is going to be
the key to our party's success in the 21st century and this new Logo to represent the TBYR brand makes
that happen,” said Andrew Dorsey, President of TBYR.
Prior to starting his own marketing company, Jonathan Torres was the marketing director for D.R. Horton
(the nation’s largest homebuilder; a fortune 500 company) for 3 years. Presently his company represents
6 D.R. Horton divisions along with a few local businesses from the Tampa Bay area.
The Tampa Bay Young Republicans strive to form an association of tight friendships based on fidelity and
fraternity and to encourage young people to become involved with upholding, developing, and
influencing the principles, objectives, and platform of the Republican Party through the development and
maintenance of a Young Republican organization. Further is the mission of the Tampa Bay Young
Republicans to provide its members with the opportunities for political and individual self-development,
political expression, recognition, education on the political process, and a practical means by which they
may contribute in the development and betterment of the Republican Party as a service to the United
States of America, the great State of Florida, Hillsborough County and the surrounding Tampa Bay area,
as well as working for the election of duly nominated Republican candidates.
