  • 4. What is sorghum sudanense It is an annual herb belongs to Gramineae sorghum A species of grass raised for forage and grain Native to tropical and subtropical regions of Eastern Africa.
  • 5. Why is sorghum sudanense Salt- resistant plants Drought-enduring plants The vegetative cycle of sorghum sudanense is very short
  • 6. Method: 1 Mixed mudflat soil with sludge in different proportion: 0% 5% 10% 15% 20% 2 Plant sorghum sudanense in the mixture 3 When the sorghum sudanense ripe ,we will test heavy metal(Cd Cr Cu Ni Pb Zn)in its body.
  • 7. Laboratory instrument Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy(AAS)
  • 8. Data processing Absorbance concentration Standard curve A ? Content(metal)=C*V/m Illustration: C:concentration V:the volume of the leaching liquor m:mass of the soil or plants
  • 9. Anticipated result The heavy metals in sorghum sudanense plant in the mudflat soil which mixed with sludge can meet the plant in vivo heavy metal content requirements
