  • 2. Mixing Your Own Baby Formula Recipe All parents should be concerned with what substances are entering their child’s body. With formula, you know that the baby is getting the nutrition that it needs, but store bought formula can be expensive and make parents wary as to where it comes from. There is a milk based baby formula recipe, a liver based baby formula recipe, and a fortified commercial baby formula recipe. Make a baby formula sample in order to see how well these recipes work.

Some of the ingredients may be hard to find, but you can find online resources that will give you the information that you need.
  • 6. Liver Based This is another baby formula recipe, but this one focuses on saturated fats. Mix together the following: 3 3/4 cups homemade beef or chicken broth, 2 ounces organic liver, cut into small pieces (freeze for 2 weeks first), 5 tablespoons lactose , 1/4 teaspoon bifidobacterium infantis , 1/4 cup homemade liquid whey, 1 tablespoon coconut oil, 1 teaspoon cod liver oil or 1/2 teaspoon high-vitamin cod liver oil, 1 teaspoon unrefined sunflower oil, 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil, and 1 teaspoon acerola powder.
