To keep up with the current tidal wave of ways for people toconnect, find, and share content; Google has taken search and made it personal. Integratingsearch results with its own social network Google+.Their hope; to create personal high quality search results for queries in their search engine. Thishas given way to the birth of “g o o gle a uthor ship” as we now know it. Also called a rich snippet.So what does google authorship look like? You cant help but to want to click on Steven Levy’s face andread his informative article over at wired.Google is happy. Your happy. Everybody is happy. High quality, informative content with apersonal touch. Google’s wet dream come true.Are you ready to put this on your blog? Great! You will need a google+ profile and a blog. If youdon’t already have a blog; you can get a badass, high ranking, high pr blog you can make moneywith here. All the cool kids are doing it. FREE VIDEO shows you how.How to Set Up Google Authorship.Google has some basic instructions that you can refer to here. I didn’t find them all that helpful.But just in case you were looking. 1. Sign up for Google+ and create a Google+ profile. Make sure you are logged in. 2. Make sure you have a profile photo with a recognizable headshot. 3. Make sure a byline containing your name appears on each page of your content (for example, “By Steven Levy”).
    • 4. Make sure your byline name matches the name on your Google+ profile. 5. Verify you have an email address (such as stevenlevy@wired.com) on the same domain as your content. (Don’t have an email address on the same domain? Use this method to link your content to your Google+ profile) 6. Return to this page and enter your email address.S t e p On e: Verify your e m ail a d dre s s on G o o gle+ for a uthor s hip.Google Authorship SignupGoogle wants to everything to be legit. So you are going to want to verify your email address with yourname@yourdomain.com. If you don’t have and email at your own domain. Please see step five listed above. Thiswill give you code you can paste into your site.As long as you have a byline with the same name as your google+ account and are posting to thesame domain. You should be good to go. The next step is to add to the contributor section ongoogle+ account linking back to your blog.S t e p Tw o: A d d your blo g to the c ontributor s e ction on your G o o gle+ profile.Google Authorship Contributor SectionOn the about me page of your google+ page. There is a place where you can add your featured work. You willwant to add your blog to the contributor section.S t e p T hree: Link fro m your c o ntent b a c k to your G o o gle+ p a g e.
