Awards, Discoveries &1888 more!Ernest joined the Philosophical Institute of Canterbury , which is now known as theCanterbury branch of Royal Society of New Zealand.1893He did his first research on high frequency magnetisation of iron.  Afterwards thedeveloped a timing device that could circuits in less than 100,000 seconds.1894Ernest Rutherford did more research to higher frequencies using empty Leydon jarsand Hertzian oscillator and developed a magnetic detector for small current pulses.1895Then he was awarded an Exhibition of 1851 scholarship. This scholarshipintitals him to go anywhere in the world to share his findings.1895That same year he measured the high frequency dielectric properties of materials.Then used his magnetic detector as a part of a frequency meter.
    8. 8. 1896Ernest then set a world record for the distance of wireless waves are detected.1897He then discovers a gas that is radioactive.Then later he named it Radon!1899Then he researched the meaning for the modern smoke detector.1901Ernest Rutherford from this day forward is known as Dr Rutherford.1902Dr Rutherford announces to the public that radioactivity is a manifestation of sub atomic change.1903Ernest was elected to be a member of the Royal Society of London.1904He received an Rumford medal, it is his first major Science prize1908He received a Nobel prize in chemistry.1911Then he announces the nuclear model of atom .1914Ernest Rutherford is now knighted. He is now Sid Ernest Rutherford.
    9. 9. 1914-1917He researched methods of detecting submarines.1917Then Ernest Rutherford became the worlds first successful alchemists, because of his workchanging nitrogen to oxygen!1920Ernest Rutherford then predicts the existence of neutron.1925-1930He then became the president of the Royal Society of London.1929-1937Sir Ernest Rutherford became the chairman for the Advisory Council of the department of scientificand Industrial research.1931He is now known as Ernest Lord Rutherford of Nelson.1931-1933Ernest is the President of the Institute of physics.
