    • A community is also a place in which people live, work and play together.

    • An urban community is a city

    • An urban community is a heavily populated community with many different kinds of people.
  • What type of buildings are found in an urban community?
    • An urban community has tall buildings like skyscrapers and apartment buildings.
  • Where do people live in an urban community?
    • People live in apartments and brownstones more than houses with front and backyards.
  • What are the different modes of transportation in an urban community?
    • An urban community has many modes of transportation like cars, buses, subway trains, ferry boats, and helicopters.
  • What are the different types of businesses found in an urban community?
    • An urban community has many types of businesses that offer goods and services like restaurants, apparel shops, and drug stores.

    • A history map shows what a place looked like long ago.
  • Past
    • The past is the time that happened long ago.

    • The present is the time that is happening now.

    • The future is the time that has not happened yet.
