  2. 2. What’s makes him interesting?<br />David Diaz is a famous author for children's books.<br />Some of his famous books are Sharing the seasons, Cesar Si si Puede! Yea we can, the little scarecrow boy, and many others some you may find illustrated by him.  <br />
  3. 3. He’s interesting because…<br />He illustrates and he publishes stories <br />He won the Caldecott Medal, American Library association,1995 for Smoky Night.<br />He has a strong passion for writing and music <br />He gets some book ideas from music he likes.<br />

  7. 7. What makes him different?<br />Besides being an illustrator and a writer he is a graphic designer, a painter and an accomplished ceramic artist. His famous art paintings and ceramics is currently touring the country. <br />Even when he was in 1st grade he knew he wanted to be a artist but he never knew he would be award winning illustrator.<br />
  8. 8. His life is interesting.<br />He gives to the kids not only by the books he writes but by donating.<br />When he does book signing he usually reads to the kids that come.<br />Also he won Caldecott medal for the book Smokey night.<br />
  9. 9. He could be a role model <br />In high school David I was encouraged to pursue a career in illustration. This shows that dreams can come true he wanted to pursue his dream and he made it with a little faith in himself.<br />His best friend then and wife now showed him how to work with colors. Shows that friends and family may always help you follow your dreams.<br />
