  • 3. 2. Caterpillar • Out of the egg • hatches a tiny caterpillar. The caterpillar eats and eats and eats.
  • 4. 3. The Chrysalis • The caterpillar wraps himself inside a cocoon and stays inside for about 2 weeks.
  • 5. 4. The Butterfly • Out of the chrysalis comes a beautiful butterfly!
  • 6. Butterfly Facts • • • • • Butterflies can see red, green, and yellow. Butterflies have four wings. They have antennae that help them see. Female butterflies are bigger than male butterflies. A butterfly flies from flower to flower eating nectar.
