Must Know for Pitch• If you pitch, “usually” you can choose or will be the team leader• Your pitch needs explain to audience and potential team members: – What problem you would like to solve – Why is this a good problem? – What would possibility be solution? – Who will use it? – What type of “team member” you need• If your pitch is selected, then you will need to form your team.• If your pitch is NOT selected, then you can – Join other team – Continue to work on it with people

  • 7. Must Know for Team Building (1/3)• Each team requires 3 types of roles – Team leader / CEO • Leads the team to create prototype and presentation slide • Communicate “heavily” with mentor / judge / core-organizer – Technical • Build required prototype/proof of concept to illustrate the solution to the problem • Technical people include: – User Interface – Front End & Backend Coding – Database – Business • Charge for marketing/promotion/validation/survey – Requirement Validation: Survey / Focus Group – Social Interaction: Twitter / Facebook / Plurk – Marketing/Promotion: Logo design, Promotion material – Test “Leap of faith”

Must Know for Team (2/3)• Team member selection – You need to select “business partner” not your best friend – You need to find “people with same/similar” commitment to “presented problem” , yet with complementary skillsets.• Team size: – Not to big that people don’t have enough work – Big enough that you can complete the following • POC/Prototype • Social Media: Fan Page / Video / Twitter / Video / Logo • Customer validation: Survey • Sunday Presentation slide Note: Usually with the right skillsets should not exceed over 8 to 10 people.

  • 11. Pitch & Team Build Night1. Idea Share -45~60mins2. Vote with post-it - 30mins3. Ideas Pitch & Rule explanation - 15mins4. Team Build & fill Team List – 15mins5. Go to discussion Room
  • 12. Step 1- Ideas Share• Every one can speak 60 sec for his own idea.• (Bi-language 90 sec)• 15 sec left remind• One Page Power Point or Poster or nothing!• 你是誰? 你想解決的問 題? 你的方案是? 你須要誰幫忙?
  • 13. Step 2 -Vote Ideas with post-it• Every Idea should be written in a A4 Page. (Include Idea name and three point)• Every Idea can be recap in 10 secs. (10mins)• Every participant can have 5 post-it to paste in the idea he likes.(20mins)

Step 3 - Ideas Pitch & Rule explanation• We will choose top 15 ideas .• 1.Diversity- Every Team need three type of skillsets of people (UI, Business, Coding);and include male & female.• 2.Efficiency- Team should not exceed 8 to 10 people.• 3.Fill the team list (include Captain & Vice Captain)
