DocPublisher - How To Install

  1. 1. How-To: Install DocPublisher 1) SWING DocPublisher database is shipped compressed in a zip archive. First, u nzip the archive, and copy DocPublisher.nsf file to your local data directory . Then, create a database bookmark in your Notes client, right-click the bookmark and go to Access Control.
  2. 2. How-To: Install DocPublisher 2) Add yourself to the list of users, and assign yourself Manager access (User type: Person) and Administrator /Content Manager role (s) .
  3. 3. How-To: Install DocPublisher Note: To allow anonymous access to DocPublisher , add Anonymous entry to the ACL, and set its access level to Reader, with no additional roles. In addition, enable the Write public documents option. If you want to prohibit anonymous access, do not add Anonymous ACL entry. Instead of that, add the users that you want to allow to read the documents, and set their access level to Reader with no roles (also enable the Write public documents option).
  4. 4. How-To: Install DocPublisher 3) Now you need to copy the database to the server . Right-click the bookmark in your Notes client again and create a New Copy.
  5. 5. How-To: Install DocPublisher 4) Locate the server to which you want to copy the database, change the Title and File name if needed and click OK.
  6. 6. How-To: Install DocPublisher 5) Next, you need to sign the database. Open Domino Administrator, locate your DocPublisher database and click on ‘Sign’.
  7. 7. How-To: Install DocPublisher 6) Selecte the ‘Active Server’s ID’ option and click OK. The database can now be opened in your web browser.
  8. 8. How-To: Install DocPublisher 7) To open the database in a web browser, type your database URL in the address bar and press enter. Then log in with your Domino user name/password and click on the Administration button. 9) Click on the ‘Manage users’ link. 8) Note: To view all administration options, click on the ‘Show all options’ link. Note: When opening the database for the first time you will need to enter the license key provided to you.
  9. 9. How-To: Install DocPublisher 10) To add a new user, click on the ‘Add Users’ button (you can also remove users in this section, or edit users roles).
  10. 10. How-To: Install DocPublisher 11) Use the ‘Address Book’ button to select user(s) from your Notes Address Book (you can select only individual users, not user groups). 12) Then select the roles that you wish to assign to these user(s). Click OK.
  11. 11. How-To: Install DocPublisher 13) The new user has been added.
