    12 Howto Users Databases Licensing - Presentation Transcript

    1. How-To: Users, Databases and Licensing www.swingsoftware.com This section of the Administration area allows you to add users and edit their roles, enter the product license key, create a new database and index the database manually. Click on links for any of these options in order to configure them.
    2. How-To: Users, Databases and Licensing www.swingsoftware.com Note: You can also use this page to remove users from DocPublisher or edit user roles. Just select appropriate users and click on the ‘Remove Selected Users’ or ‘Edit Selected User Roles’ button. 1) MANAGE USERS: 1) To add new users click on the ‘Add users’ button .
    3. How-To: Users, Databases and Licensing www.swingsoftware.com 1) MANAGE USERS: 2) Click on the ‘Address Book’ button and select users from your Domino Notes Address Book. 3) Assign appropriate roles to these users and click OK. The users will be added to DocPublisher.
    4. How-To: Users, Databases and Licensing www.swingsoftware.com 2) PRODUCT LICENSE: 1) Here you can enter the product license key. The license key is delivered together with your package when you purchase a DocPublisher license.
    5. How-To: Users, Databases and Licensing 3) CREATE NEW DATABASE: 1) DocPublisher allows you to create a new database from the Administration Area. The new database will be created on the same server as your current database. You first need to specify the database file name (with the path relative to Domino data folder), database title and the library name. 2) Then specify whether you wish to copy documents and/or administration settings into the new database. If you copy the administration settings, you can copy all or only selected settings. When finished, click ‘Create New Database button. You will be given a link pointing to the new database.
    6. How-To: Users, Databases and Licensing www.swingsoftware.com 4) FULL-TEXT INDEX: 1) Full-text index allows Domino server to perform searching through text in a database faster. If the database is not Full-text indexed then search may not work properly. Full-text indexing of database is usually performed automatically by the Domino server in regular time intervals. If needed, DocPublisher also allows you to perform Full-text indexing manually, just click on this link.

      • We entered the product license key
      • We created a new document library from existing one
      • We performed the full-text indexing operation to update the search engine
